Do you Sauna? Here’s why you should!

Morning,

I was lucky enough to be at an event with Dr Joe Mercola as well as the founder of Sauna Space, Brian Richards a couple of weeks ago. I used the opportunity to pick both their brains. I knew there had been some discussions about Near Infrared Saunas being better for us than traditional and infrared saunas, so I was keen to find out why and what the difference was so I could pass on the information.

So in typical me fashion, I pulled Brian aside and said clients don’t want me telling them, they want to hear it from you. So we stood under a tree and I asked the questions I knew you would want to know.

You can imagine my Dad was guttered when I told him his infrared sauna (that I had convinced him to buy in the first place) needed to be upgraded. I had to remind him that we did have a good few years use out of it, and we had really sweated out some toxins but now we had learnt more about the technology, it was time to upgrade.

When I first suggested Dad buy a sauna for “our” health – it was really for mine as I was still getting better and living with my parents. He decided we’d all spent enough money my health and said, “No way!” He was done with me and my health, so I changed the story and told him Mum needed it for her health. It’s safe to say he got one at once! He knows the importance of a healthy wife!! And we have all been fortunate to experience the health benefits. I would sweat so much that I broke my last laptop from water damage.

Near Infrared Light (NIL) therapy reduces cellulite

The known benefits of near infrared light are numerous, and many impact the problem of eliminating cellulite. A fantastic effect is that light emitted in a near infrared lamp sauna directly reduces the amount of visible cellulite. Studies using near infrared light alone and in combination with bipolar radiofrequency & mechanical suction-based massage device have shown decreases in cellulite accumulation.[3] [4] [5]

Other benefits of NIR therapy provide direct and indirect help in reducing cellulite. Near infrared energy increases tissue circulation, and promotes healing and rejuvenation of skin and deeper tissues. NIR sauna therapy stimulates detoxification while boosting overall metabolism. Exercise combined with exposure to near infrared energy results in decreased overall body fat, further helping the cellulite problem.[6]

The relaxation and stress relief achieved through NIR sauna therapy may reduce adrenalin (catecholamine) levels. Reducing adrenaline levels has been shown to help cellulite as well.[7]

Near infrared lamp sauna therapy combined with a healthy diet and a safe exercise program may go a long way towards solving the cellulite problem.[8]
